N V Modi, born on 24 November 1941, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1976 batch, Gujarat cadre. He served in various capacities including Secretary and Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, Director, Deputy Commissioner, OSD to Minister, Deputy Secretary, and District Collector. His most recent position was Secretary at Gujarat in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department from 1 July 2000 to 30 November 2001. Mr. Modi holds a graduate degree and has contributed to the administrative framework of Gujarat throughout his career.
