N Ravi Shanker, born on July 4, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 batch, Uttarakhand cadre. He holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering, a Graduate degree in Physics, and a PG Diploma in Management. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Chief Secretary to the Government of Uttarakhand from October 21, 2014, to July 31, 2015. His extensive experience includes roles such as Additional Director, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Administrator, Chief Electoral Officer, Commissioner, Managing Director, District Collector, and Executive Magistrate.
