N R Varsani, born on 31 January 1943, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1978 batch, Gujarat cadre. He holds graduate degrees in Law and Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Deputy Collector, Deputy Secretary, Managing Director, Development Commissioner, Deputy General Manager, Director, and Director Equivalent. His most recent position was Secretary at Gujarat’s General Administration Department from 5 July 2000 to 31 January 2003. Mr. Varsani’s extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Gujarat government.
