N R Ranganathan, born on 27 May 1938, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1960 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a Graduate degree in Law, a Diploma in Development Administration, and a Certificate in Public Administration. Over his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Director, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, Additional Secretary, Special Secretary, and Secretary. His most recent position was Member Secretary in the Planning Department of Maharashtra. Throughout his service, he contributed to multiple administrative roles within the state government before retiring.
