N P Thakar, born on 25 July 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1999 Gujarat cadre. Throughout his career, he held various positions including Commissioner, Secretary, Additional Rural Development Commissioner, Joint Secretary, District Collector, District Divisional Officer, and Joint Managing Director. His most recent role was Commissioner & Director in the Land Records department of Gujarat, serving from 29 September 2017 until 31 July 2019.
