N Narasimha Rao, born on August 5, 1947, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Agriculture. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Secretary, Private Secretary, Additional District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Special Commissioner, and Secretary to Commissioner. His most recent position was Commissioner of the Fisheries Department from January 3, 2007, to August 31, 2007. Rao’s extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Andhra Pradesh government.
