N M Bijlani, born on May 2, 1936, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1963 Gujarat cadre. He holds graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Deputy Secretary, District Development Officer, District Collector, Managing Director, CEO, Chairman, Municipal Commissioner, Secretary, and Deputy CEO. His most recent position was Vice Chairman and Managing Director in the Industries and Commerce department of Gujarat, from August 1, 1990, to May 1, 1994. Bijlani’s extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Gujarat cadre.
