N K Varma, born on 25 May 1933, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 batch, Bihar cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree and a graduate degree in Political Science. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Junior Scale, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, and District Collector and Magistrate. His most recent position was Additional Secretary in the Information and Broadcasting Department from December 1990 to May 1991. Varma’s extensive service reflects his commitment to administrative roles within the Indian government.
