N J Dave, born on 17 August 1940, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 batch, Gujarat cadre. He holds degrees in Commerce, Economics, and Law (LL.B.). Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, District Development Officer, General Manager, and Commissioner. His most recent position was Commissioner at Gujarat from 1 September 1999 to 31 August 2000. He was associated with the Department of Labour and Employment during his service.
