N B Gite, a 2009 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre, served in the Revenue and Forest Department. Born on 27 May 1961, he held the position of Collector & District Magistrate at Bhandara, Maharashtra, from July to September 2019. His educational background includes a B.V.Sc. & A.H. from Marathwada Agricultural University and an LL.B. from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. He has also served as Chief Executive Officer and Municipal Commissioner. Gite received multiple awards, including recognition from UNICEF for addressing child malnutrition and several state and national honors for project management and public participation. He is now retired.
