Mritunjay Jha, born on January 3, 1934, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Bihar cadre. He holds graduate degrees in History and Law. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Junior Scale, Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Director, District Collector and Magistrate, and multiple terms as Joint Secretary. His most recent position was Joint Secretary in the Tourism Department from June 1, 1990, to January 1, 1992.
