Moumita Godara Basu, an IAS officer of the 2007 West Bengal cadre, was born on 16 October 1977. She holds a B.A. from Calcutta University and an M.A. and M.Phil. from JNU New Delhi. Currently serving as Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare department since 12 September 2023, she has held various positions including District Magistrate, District Collector and Magistrate, Director, Joint Secretary, Additional District Magistrate, and Sub Divisional Officer. She has been recognized for Maximisation of online Registration. Moumita is proficient in Bengali and English and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
