Mohan Lal Rai, born on August 5, 1948, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1992 batch, Jharkhand cadre. He holds an LL.B. in Law and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Science. Throughout his career, Rai served in various capacities including Member, Commissioner, Managing Director, Special Secretary, and Joint Secretary. His most recent position was Divisional Commissioner, a role he held from August 5 to August 31, 2008. With extensive experience in administrative roles, Rai contributed to the governance and development of Jharkhand during his tenure in the IAS.
