Mohammad Tayyab, born on 14 March 1978, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2007 Punjab cadre. He holds a B.Sc. from Lucknow University and an M.B.A. from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur. Currently, he serves as Secretary in the Jails Department, Punjab, a position he has held since 20 August 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Director, Managing Director, Special Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Director General, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Secretary, ADC, SDO/SDM, Assistant Commissioner, and Administrative Secretary. He is proficient in English and Hindi and remains in active service.
