Mihir Kumar Singh, born on January 5, 1968, is a 1993 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. He holds an M.P.A. in Economics from Columbia University, New York, and an M.A. in English. Currently serving as the Development Commissioner at Bihar since November 30, 2025, Singh has held numerous positions including Managing Director, Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Divisional Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, and Administrator. He has been recognized with the Satyen Mitra Memorial National Literacy Mission award and appreciation for decadal performance in literacy. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
