Meera Mohanty, born on August 8, 1977, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2005 batch, Himachal Pradesh cadre. She holds a B.A. from Delhi University and an M.A. and M.Phil. from JNU New Delhi. Currently, she serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production since May 28, 2025. Her previous roles include Resident Commissioner, Director, Secretary, Chief Executive Officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, and Deputy Secretary. Fluent in English and Hindi, Meera Mohanty continues to contribute to public administration in her ongoing service.
