Md. G. Ali Ansari, born on 21 January 1974, is a 2000 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the West Bengal cadre. He holds a Graduate degree, M.A., and M.Phil. Currently, he serves as the Commissioner at Malda Division since 2 April 2026. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Principal Secretary, Secretary, Project Director, Chief Executive Officer, Additional Secretary, District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Sub Divisional Officer, Assistant Collector, Commissioner, Chairman, and Divisional Commissioner. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the IAS.
