Markandey Shahi, born on July 1, 1966, is a 2009 batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.A. and an LL.B degree. Currently, he serves as the Labour Commissioner at Kanpur Nagar, a position he assumed on September 11, 2023. Prior to this, he held the post of Special Secretary in the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Shahi continues to contribute to the administrative framework of the state government.
