Maqsood Alam, born on August 13, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1991 batch, West Bengal cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Director and Additional District Magistrate. His most recent position was Member Secretary of the West Bengal Minority Commission under the MA and ME Department from April 11, 2005, to August 31, 2006. Throughout his career, he contributed to the administrative framework of West Bengal until his retirement.
