Mantu Surai, born on January 2, 1944, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Commerce. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Joint Secretary, Director, Additional District Magistrate, Additional Executive Officer, and Joint Labour Commissioner. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Labour Department, from February 18, 2002, to January 31, 2004.
