Manoj Kumar Agarwal, born on July 8, 1966, is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the West Bengal cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree and is proficient in English and Hindi. Currently, he serves as the Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal, and ex-officio Additional Chief Secretary at the Home and Hill Affairs Department since August 12, 2025. Throughout his career, Agarwal has held various key positions including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, District Magistrate, and Deputy Secretary. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service with extensive experience in administrative and electoral roles.
