Mangat Ram Sharma, born on 20 June 1967, is a 1992 batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.Tech. and an M.B.A. from IGNOU Delhi. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary at Tamil Nadu's Public Works Department (PWD). Throughout his career, Sharma has held various positions including Assistant Collector, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Private Secretary, Additional Collector, Sub Collector, Deputy Commissioner, Director, Managing Director, Chairman and Managing Director, Principal Secretary to Government HAG+, and Additional Chief Secretary to Government. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
