Manashvi Kumar, born on September 1, 1977, is a 2004 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. He holds a B.Sc., M.Sc. in Geology, and a Ph.D. in Energy Planning from Delhi University. Currently, he serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi (since October 6, 2022). His past roles include Director, Special Secretary, Secretary, Chief Executive, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Excise & Taxation Commissioner, and Sub Divisional Magistrate. He has received awards from the International Political Science Association, International Public Policy Association, and others. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
