Manabendra Nath Roy, born on January 7, 1952, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 West Bengal cadre. He holds a Ph.D., B.Tech., and M.Tech. in Electronics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Under Secretary, Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary. His most recent position was Director of the Netaji Subhas Administrative Training Institute from July 6, 2011, to January 31, 2012. Roy's extensive service reflects a broad administrative experience within the Indian government.
