Maheshwar Sahu, a 1980 batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre, was born on October 1, 1954. He holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, District Development Officer, Director, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, and Vice Chairman & Managing Director. He also undertook short-term consultancy roles. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Industries and Mines Department of Gujarat from February 16, 2009, to January 31, 2014. He is now retired from the Indian Administrative Service.
