Mahendra Prasad Agarwal, born on 18 November 1972, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1997 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Currently serving as Principal Secretary in the Higher Education Department at Lucknow since 19 May 2023, Agarwal has held various key positions including Divisional Commissioner, Secretary, Director, Vice Chairman, District Collector and Magistrate, Chief Development Officer, Joint Magistrate, and Assistant Magistrate. Proficient in English and Hindi, he continues to contribute to the administrative framework of Uttar Pradesh.
