Mahendra Prasad, born on May 7, 1973, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2014 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.B.A. in Human Resource from UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University. Currently, he serves as the Special Secretary in the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Coordination department since March 16, 2026. His previous roles include Secretary and Principal Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the Higher Education department. Mahendra Prasad continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to the administration of Uttar Pradesh.
