Mahendra Prasad, born on May 7, 1973, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2014 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds an M.B.A. in Human Resource from UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University. Currently, he serves as the Special Secretary in the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Coordination Department since March 16, 2026. Previously, he has held positions as Secretary and Principal Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh in the Higher Education department. Mr. Prasad continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service, contributing to the administration of Uttar Pradesh.
