Mahendra Jain, born on 27 March 1961, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 Karnataka cadre. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration and a graduate degree in English. Over his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Chief Secretary to Government at Karnataka from 15 April 2016 to 27 February 2017 in the Urban Development Department.
