Mahavir Singh, born on 15 February 1963, is a retired IAS officer from the 1989 Haryana cadre. He served as Additional Chief Secretary to the Government at Chandigarh from 28 October 2020 in the School Education Department. His educational qualifications include a Graduate degree in Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from CCS Haryana Agricultural University and an MBA in Financial Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Throughout his career, he held numerous positions such as Principal Secretary, Director General, Secretary, Managing Director, Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, and Administrator, contributing extensively to the administrative framework of Haryana.
