M Y Daxini, a 2008 batch IAS officer from the Gujarat cadre, was born on 19 November 1962. He holds an M.Com. in Accountancy from Gujarat University. During his career, he served as District Development Officer in Mehsana, Gujarat, from 4 September 2017, and held positions including Commissioner of Youth Services and Cultural Activities. He worked in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department before retiring. Daxini received the Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration in 2020 for promoting people's movements through the Swachh Bharat Mission in Mehsana, and the Poshan Abhiyaan Award for 2018-19.
