M Venkateswara Rao, born on June 1, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 West Bengal cadre. He holds a Graduate degree in English, a postgraduate degree in English, and a Ph.D. in Art from Sambalpur University. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Director General, Deputy Director General, Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, District Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, Additional District Magistrate, and Sub Divisional Officer. His most recent position was Managing Director, a role he assumed on March 21, 2017.
