M. T. Krishna Babu, born on 15 July 1966, is a 1993 batch IAS officer of the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree and is proficient in English and Telugu. Currently, he serves as the Special Chief Secretary in the Transport, Roads and Buildings Department of Andhra Pradesh since 8 September 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Sub Collector, Principal Secretary, Managing Director, Secretary, Commissioner, Chairman, Special Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, and Joint Collector. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
