Dr. M Sai Kumar, born on 31 August 1966, is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a Graduate degree, M.A., and M.Phil. Currently, he serves as the Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu since 8 April 2026. Throughout his career, he has held various key positions including Additional Chief Secretary, Chairman and Managing Director, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Secretary to Government, Joint Director General, Commissioner, Managing Director, District Collector, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Collector, and Assistant Collector. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Telugu. Dr. Kumar continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
