M S Dayal, born on January 6, 1938, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1961 Gujarat cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Mathematics and a postgraduate degree in English Literature. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Member of the Appellate Authority for Industrial and Financial Reconstructions in Gujarat from August 1998 to July 1999. His extensive experience spans roles such as Secretary, Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Managing Director, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Director, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, Additional Commissioner, Deputy General Manager, and Assistant Collector. He was associated with the Finance Department (Economic Affairs).
