M Rama Rao, born on June 11, 1960, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2005 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. He served in various capacities, including as Deputy Secretary. His most recent designation was Junior Scale, held from January 31, 2014. Throughout his career in the IAS, he contributed to the administrative functions within his cadre until his retirement.
