M R Patil, born on March 6, 1941, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1966 Maharashtra cadre. He holds graduate degrees in Chemistry and Law, along with a postgraduate degree in Botany. Throughout his career, Patil served in various capacities including Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Divisional Commissioner, Secretary, Chairman & Managing Director, Managing Director, District Collector, CEO, and Assistant Collector. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Home Affairs, Maharashtra. Patil's extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Maharashtra state government.
