Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Commissioner, Project Director, Additional Secretary, Director, Joint Secretary, District Collector, and Managing Director among others. His most recent role was State Project Director at Sarva Siksha Abhiyan from 15 November 2006 to 31 July 2008. Vijayakumar’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple departments and leadership positions within the Tamil Nadu government.
