M P Nirmala, born on January 9, 1955, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1990 Tamil Nadu cadre. She holds postgraduate diplomas in Cooperation and Tamil. Over her career, she served in various capacities including District Collector, Joint Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, Director, Managing Director, and Chairman and Managing Director. Her most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department from April 30, 2014, to January 31, 2015. Throughout her service, she held multiple roles such as Secretary, Commissioner, and Special Officer in different departments.
