M P Mishra, born on May 5, 1940, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate degrees in Economics and Law (LL.B.). Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Special Secretary, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, General Manager, and Additional District Magistrate. His most recent designation was Commissioner from November 3, 1999, to May 31, 2000. He also served as Director of Census Operations in the Land Revenue Department before retirement.
