M Mathivanan, born on 10 May 1963, is a retired IAS officer from the 2006 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a PhD in Commerce from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Chief Executive Officer, District Collector, Additional Director, and Commissioner. His most recent position was Commissioner at the Prohibition and Excise Department in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, starting from 13 June 2022.
