M M Jalal, born on February 1, 1954, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1980 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in English Literature. During his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, General Manager, and Deputy Secretary. He was appointed District Collector of Tiruchirapalli, Tamil Nadu, from July 1, 1989, to September 1, 1989. His most recent role was Director of Census Operations in the Land Revenue Department. Mr. Jalal’s extensive service reflects his commitment to administrative responsibilities within the Tamil Nadu cadre.
