M Lakshminarayana, born on September 1, 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1987 Karnataka cadre. He served in various capacities including Principal Secretary to Government in the Information and Broadcasting Department from August 27, 2016, to August 31, 2017. His extensive career includes roles such as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Commissioner. He holds graduate degrees in History and Law, as well as a postgraduate degree in Economics.
