M L Chattopadhya, born on December 6, 1941, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree and has served in various capacities, including Joint Secretary and Additional Magistrate. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Forest and Environment Department from December 1, 2000, to December 31, 2001. Throughout his career, he contributed to the administration of West Bengal until his retirement.
