M I Patel, born on April 4, 1968, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2009 Gujarat cadre. He holds a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering. Currently serving as Commissioner at Gandhinagar since February 7, 2025, he works in the Bureau of Public Enterprises, Finance Department. Throughout his career, Patel has held various positions including Collector, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and District Development Officer. He is proficient in Gujarati and continues to serve in the IAS.
