M. Govinda Rao, born on 15 June 1984, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2011 batch from the Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science from Acharya Nagarjuna University. Currently, he serves as the Managing Director at Tamil Nadu Power Generation Corporation Ltd. since 24 June 2025. His previous roles include Assistant Collector, Sub Collector, Deputy Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate (Junior Administrative Grade), Project Director, and Managing Director (Junior Administrative Grade). He has been honored with the Chief Minister’s Award on Road Safety. He is proficient in English, Telugu, and Tamil.
