M. Girija Shankar, born on August 30, 1964, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1999 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. He holds an A.M.I.E. qualification. Throughout his career, he has served in various capacities including Secretary to Government, District Collector and Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, and Joint Collector. Currently, he is the Chief Commissioner of State Tax at Vijayawada, a position he has held since September 10, 2022. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
