M D Sanaullah, born on 10 May 1953, is a retired IAS officer from the 1986 Karnataka cadre. He served in various capacities including Principal Secretary, Secretary, Registrar, Commissioner, Director, Deputy Commissioner, and Chief Secretary. His most recent position was Principal Secretary at Bangalore, Karnataka, from 22 September 2012 to 31 May 2013 in the Backward Classes Welfare Department. He holds an LL.B. in Law, a postgraduate degree in Political Science, and an MBA in Business Administration. Throughout his career, he contributed to multiple administrative roles within the Karnataka government.
