M D Nasimuddin, born on December 3, 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in History from Delhi University and an MBA in Public Service from the University of Birmingham. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Commissioner, Director, Secretary, Managing Director, and Principal Secretary. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary to the Government in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, appointed on June 13, 2022. Nasimuddin's extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles within the Tamil Nadu government.
