M Chandrasekaran, born on 29 May 1957, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1998 Tamil Nadu cadre. A graduate by education, he served in various capacities including Sub Collector, Deputy Secretary, District Collector, Joint Secretary, Director, and Managing Director. His most recent position was Commissioner at Tamil Nadu in the Backward Classes Welfare Department, serving from 28 August 2015 to 31 May 2017. Throughout his career, he contributed to the administration of Tamil Nadu until his retirement.
