Lida Jacob, born on May 9, 1947, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 Kerala cadre. She holds a postgraduate degree and a graduate degree in English Literature. Throughout her career, she served in various capacities including Deputy Collector, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Special Officer, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, District Collector, Managing Director, Director, Additional Commissioner, and Secretary. Her most recent position was Secretary in the Education Department from August 27, 2005, to May 31, 2007. Ms. Jacob’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple roles within the Kerala state government.
